Hi, I’m Yvonne. I’ve worked in the social care sector for 20nyrs now and been a manager for almost 5 yrs.

I started my social care journey by accident whilst waiting to prepare for a career in nursing. I started working as a part time support worker with adults with learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge and fell in love with the role instantly and have never looked back.

I quickly worked my way up to team leader, deputy and then manager. I did take some time away from social care to work in a hospital setting but missed social care to much.

I have a wealth of knowledge all taught through day-to-day work-based learning from some of the best teachers in the business, the people who I have supported! I’m very passionate about the job I do and about empowering the people I support to live their best life.

My name is Adeyemi Adigun. I am a Team Leader at Amethyst. I am a caring, compassionate individual and a versatile professional with years of providing tailored patient care to meet all aspects of physical and emotional wellbeing. I have gained experience working in hospitals, hospices, supported living, nursing and residential homes. I have a strong technique in providing support to young adults and elders. I have been actively performing the role of a senior support worker for more than a year in a supported living providing routine patient care duties at own discretion in accordance with protocols and guidelines. Upon joining Amethyst care and support group, I have been able to work in a team with less supervision from my manager. I can work and executive task under little or no supervision.

My name is Darcey and I am one of the team leaders for Amethyst. I work over 2 services, Arch House and Springfield Court. I have worked for Amethyst for 4 months and my experience before this was managing in a Nursery, where I had 4 years experience.

Hello, my name is Laura. I am new to amethyst within the past couple of months I have taken on one of the team leader roles to help rum Springfield court and Arch house. This job is very new to me but I love it already. I have qualifications in health and social care but mainly have a background with younger individuals. So starting at amethyst is a great new adventure for me, so far it has been very refreshing and rewarding.
